Wherever I am,
God is. These words fill me with love and
comfort. Do they do that for you?
The spiritual
path we experience here in the physical world is
one filled with love, joy, hope, sadness,
challenges and some times... atrocities...
Shakespeare said "Things are neither good nor
bad, but thinking makes them so." This is true
in all things. There are times when I'm
experiencing a physical world challenge and I
wonder, "what was I thinking to come back
here?" Then I breathe deeply and look for the
love, look for the growth and learning concealed
in the moment of trial.
I believe that
before we come back to the physical world we
choose certain challenges to aid us in specific
spiritual growth - challenges that teach us the
true essence of unconditional love. Challenges
are a little easier to take because I believe
this.
Many, many years
ago I heard of a woman who forgave a convicted
man of murdering her daughter. At the time, I
couldn't understand how she could do that.
Since that time, I have grown to understand that
God lives within each one of us - not just the
people we like, but even the people we don't
like - all people. Now I understand the trust
and the faith in God that this woman had within
her in order to forgive such a heinous act. She
lived unconditional love as God does. Through
her ability to forgive the man who took her
daughter from the physical world, she shared
God's love with everyone who heard of her
experience. She opened doors for others to find
God in their hearts too.
Florence Scovel
Shinn teaches in
"The Game of Life and How to Play it"
that hatred, anger and unforgiveness will
produce illness in the physical body. She
suggests forgiving others who hurt and abuse us
- to bless them. She says that when we bless
them sincerely they loose the power to hurt us.
We face our fears in the name of God and the
fear dissipates.
As the days pass,
we come closer to the anniversary of the 911
terrorist attacks here in the US. In thinking
of the experiences of that day, I must hold fast
to the love that poured forth to victims, to
victims families - helping hands between
complete strangers and bless all who were
touched. I ask God to bless all who have been
touched by acts of terrorism, by acts of
meanness and hatred and to bless those who have
committed the acts as well. I ask God to send
His messengers, the angels to heal the feelings
of pain and anger for all.
In love and
light,
Kate
| Dear Children
of God,
In moments of
fear and confusion - know that God
is with you - know that your guides,
your teachers and your angels are
always with you - with you in every
moment of every day no matter what
you are experiencing. Within each
one of you, God lives. Allow the
love of God to radiate forth to heal
your life and to touch others with
His healing grace. There will be
times in your life that you will
experience confusion, you will
experience fear and you will
experience pain. With these
emotions comes spiritual growth for
they force you to look within, to
pull forth the strength that lies
within you - to discover and discern
your truth and your stand. These
times are, indeed, trying, but they
too shall pass. The hills and
valleys of the physical world path
holds great enlightenment. As you
travel this path, be comforted for
"the rod and the sword" are with
you.
Where God is,
so are you...
Your loving
angels... |
