The past few months have been very busy here
between clients, family and the book Big Jim and I have been writing.
As with any project it has grown and grown and grown...
The book's title is
Waiting in the Other Room
and it is finished! I'll have the last proof in my hands no later
than Wednesday, May 27. The book cover and interior are finally
complete, so as long as the files uploaded to the printer correctly I
will approve it for printing.
This work has truly been a labor of love.
And I do mean labor. When my daughter was born the labor
really hurt - as you mom's reading this know. Fortunately she was
wanting to make her appearance very fast. Unfortunately she was
coming so fast, there was no time for any drugs. But it was ok,
because I knew in the end I would have this beautiful baby - and I did.
Now that the labor of love is complete with the
book, we have this wonderful, healing, eclectic compilation of special
gifts from the spirit realm to aid us in our healing through the grief
process as well as our healing through the ascension of the planet.
Big Jim and Archangel Azriel, the Angel of Death, have given us insight
into the continued life of our spirits after our physical body dies and
offer us a glimpse of our role as a planet in the bigger picture of all
that is.
I experienced great healing through the writing -
at times it was painful, hence the labor of love. I've had to
look deeply within at who I am and truly discern and accept my mission.
There were days in the beginning when I questioned myself and the work
involved. In the end I questioned the work involved that took me
away from my family, but I no longer questioned myself. I didn't become
a recluse in my office during the creation of all that this project has
evolved into - instead I took it
with me everywhere I went.
The physical world and our religions teach us many
things about death of the physical body. Things that simply are
not true. Our loved ones, guides, angels and teachers try to get
through to us on a daily basis to help us. Our deceased loved ones
often just wish to let us know they are ok and that they are more alive
than they ever were here on Mother Earth as a human. Waiting in
the Other Room helps the reader take this step of "knowing" from
physical world illusion to spirit realm reality.
For some it will be the validation they have been
looking for, for others it will be a catalyst to opening their eyes,
their minds and their hearts to more.
I mentioned that the project of writing the book
grew - oh my how it grew. It went from just writing the book to
including two guided journey exercises that required their own
guided meditation CD/MP3 download (already released). Then somewhere along the line a journal was
included that required research for printing at a reasonable rate.
When the journal turned out to be so beautiful, we decided to use the
same company to print the book. ISBN's became the topic of
conversation and bar codes and distributors and of course the book
needed its own website that turned into a production company - the list
went on and on.
I'm one of those DIYGs - Do It Yourself Girl.
SO.... instead of hiring someone else to do it, I researched and
did it all myself with the aid of my angelic entourage - we had complete control. The book covers had to be created and the recordings had to
be done - while the neighbor's dog wasn't barking. And for those
who wondered, yes, after a chat with the dog, he does stop barking, but most of
the time the squirrels listen better than the dog. Then there was
my family so a sign had to be made for the office door of "Recording
Session in Progress."
It has been a challenge to fit this project around
work for clients and family time. Thank goodness I have photos of the
family on my desk. That Majik puppy... when he needs attention he sits in
my lap and won't budge. If I don't get the message he lays his
head on the keyboard...
Then there was the day I was going through the
manuscript one more time and Big Jim came in and asked me, "Aren't
you finished with that yet?" As with anything there must be a
time when one claims the current step completed. In that moment of
his asking me - yes, I was finished.

The day I received my last proof, I was standing
at the kitchen counter admiring it, when I noticed Daddy, Big Jim,
sitting at the counter reading a copy. His was hard cover.
Mine was paperback. All of the books will be paperback. I
asked him where he got a hard cover copy. He just grinned.
Now Fred wants a hard cover copy, too. I knew that was coming...
Daddy, do you want to add anything?
Of course I do, I always enjoy talking with the
people...
When I lived in the physical world of Mother
Earth as Jimmy Joe Speakes, I had a hard time with those I loved
dying. That included people, my dogs and Alvin. When Alvin and
Snuggles died my heart shattered. Kate tried to tell me that
Snuggles would be able to ride with me on my bike after Snuggles died and I
all but hung up on her. Not because I was angry, but because the
tears began to flow and I just couldn't talk with her anymore. I
missed my pets a lot. I was a farmer spending a lot of my time
alone and they were my companions. Some of you reading this
understand that - how much love we give to those animals that love us
unconditionally.
The physical body of our loved ones dying is
just almost more than some of us can take in. Then there are
people like Kate, some call them Earth Angels, who share tools to help
with the grief.
Her work with Jesus and the angels was hard for
me to grasp when I lived there on Mother Earth. Since my spirit
has crossed over to the spirit realm I've learned so much - I'm always
learning! Working with Kate on this book has been an absolute joy.
She's grown and evolved into a higher level of understanding and found
more peace within than she even knew was possible - right Kate?
There are many gifts of enlightenment to be
experienced within the pages of "Waiting in the Other Room."
The day she finally paid attention to us and
got the name of the book was fun. We had been whispering it to her
over and over. Then she was cooking breakfast and her great
grandmother came in to help us. We all yelled together and the
light bulb came on right over her head - she heard us! Boy was she
excited! She was so thrilled about the name - said it was perfect!

There is a story behind the name, but you'll
have to read the book to find out what it is...
"Waiting in the Other Room" is a tool for you
to help you as you experience your days there as a human on Mother
Earth. I wish it had been available while I lived there...

James Van Praagh is coming to Denver. I'm a
HUGE fan of his work! I received an email notice of his coming
here and that there would be a meet and greet before the event. I went
to TicketHorse to get tickets, then decided I should talk to Freddy
first, in case he wouldn't want to go.
When Freddy got home I excitedly told him about
the email and when James will be here. While I was talking to him
he went downstairs and came back with an envelope. He handed it to
me. I opened it and inside were two tickets to the show - front
row seats - and the
meet and greet beforehand. I started to cry. He found out
weeks before I did - what a wonderful surprise!
James
is on a tour to promote his new book,
Unfinished Business: What the Dead
Can Teach Us About Life. I pre-ordered it and waited in
great anticipation for it to be
distributed and shipped.
When I received it I immediately began to
read it and received still more wonderful surprises. This new book by
